Thank you for your efforts this week. Great job at the football game and Labor Day Parade.

We have our Drumline Showcase clinic and concert on Saturday. This is our first performance of the drumline show for the community.

We have a football game on Friday, and our Wednesday Stadium Rehearsal will be at HBJ Stadium. More details below:

Cycle 1, Week 4 (A Week): September 2-8

  • Monday

    • No School, Labor Day Parade and Rehearsal 7-3

  • Tuesday

    • Free

  • Wednesday

    • Part 2 Pass-Offs due in class

    • After School Rehearsal from 4:00-7:00 at HBJ Stadium

      • Bus departs NFHS at 3:15, You may drive yourself. Make sure your ride picks you up from Williams Stadium after we load the trailer

  • Thursday

    • After School Rehearsal from 3:30-6:30

  • Friday (A Day)

    • 4 Mallet Solo Page 1 Solo Pass Off recording due

    • Part 3 and Pre Show Pass Offs

    • Football Game at Princeton from 3:00pm-11pm

  • Saturday

    • Drumline Showcase from 10:00am-1:00pm at NFHS

  • Sunday

    • Free

Vertical Raise - Band Fundraiser

We are in the final week of our fundraiser. Please do your best to post and reach out to contacts to finish strong.

Upcoming Assignments and Grades

  • Students will pass off Part 3 and Preshow in class on Friday.

  • All-Region Pass Offs will be due via video submission by Friday, Sept 6. Students will need a recording of 1 page of the All-Region 4 Mallet solo or 1st 2 lines of the alternate 4 mallet solo. Please upload the video to google drive folder I have created. I will be sending a link to that folder again this week via Remind.

  • Students will have a supply check in class on Friday. Students need a binder with all course handouts and a flip folder with all current music.

Football Game Details - Friday, August 30 at Princeton HS (Jackie Hendricks Football Stadium, Princeton TX )

  • 3:00/3:30 - Game Day Show Run Through

  • 4:15ish - Load Trailer

  • 4:30 - Dinner, Dress, Creed Part 2 Pass offs

  • 5:30 - Load Buses, Depart

  • 7:00 - Game time, performing the spirit show at halftime

  • 10:30/11:00 - Anticipated return/dismissal time from NFHS

Attire is the Green Shirt, Black Shorts, and Drill Master Shoes

Parents! The Gopher-Warrior Bowl stadium has a clear bag policy.

We will not be going outside during class this week. Please make sure you have appropriate clothes and water for warm weather. Time will be given during class to change into more comfortable clothing to wear for the remainder of the day.

Drumline Showcase - Saturday, September 7

We have our annual Drumline Showcase this Saturday, September 7 from 10am-1pm. Attire is Green Ranger Band Shirt and closed-toed shoes. Pants are student choice.

  • 10:00am - Student Call Time/Setup

  • 10:30am - Middle School Drumline Clinic (HS Students Participate side by side)

  • 11:30am - NF Drumline performs Cadences in Band Hall

  • 12:00pm - Performance of Drumline Show (Latin Quarter Club) in the competition gym

  • 12:15pm - Pizza Party with Middle School cluster

  • 12:40pm - Clinic with Mr. Gonzalez

  • 1:00pm - Pack up and dismissal
