Beginner Band

It is never too late to start something new. If you have never played and instrument or wanting to continue your musical journey at Naaman Forest, please join our Naaman Forest Beginner Band. Here, you will learn how to read music, play an instrument, and play in an ensemble.

Colorguard

No marching show is complete without the Naaman Forest Colorguard. During the marching season, the colorguard performs with the band. During the concert season, the cologuard will prepare their own Winterguard show and compete at multiple NTCA contest.

Marching Band

Marching Season starts late summer until November. Students will learn how to march and learn a show designed just for them. They will perform at all the football game and at various marching competition.

Percussion

The Naaman Forest Percussion is the heart(beat) of the band. During marching season, the percussionists are grouped into two groups: drumline and front ensemble. During the concert season, the percussionist prepare for the UIL Concert and Sight Reading as well as their own percussion showcase.

Concert Band

Concert band season starts as soon as marching season ends. In concert band, we continue to develop the individual and ensemble’s musicianship through concert music and the sight reading process. The bands prepare three songs for the UIL Concert and Sight Reading. The Naaman Forest Band will also host multiple concerts throughout the academic year.
