The Update:

This week is a B week and only one more week until Thanksgiving break. In the Naaman Forest Band, we are thankful for all our hard-working students and supportive community. Thank you for being a part of the Forest.

Rehearsals: this week the WE and SYM Rehearsals are normal.

The jazz band rehearsal is canceled.

Events:

  • We have a Thanksgiving potluck on Thursday from 5:15 pm to 7:00 pm. Please join us and fill out this potluck form

  • The SMU Wind Ensemble Concert is this Friday (Mr. Choi and Mr. Collins’ Alma Mater). Charlie Forsberg (Naaman Forest Band Alum) has got us free tickets to the concert. All we need from your students is $3 for the bus. Please fill out this SMU Concert Attendance form

  • Christmas time is around the corner with the RANGER MARKET! The event is Saturday, Nov. 23, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Please come and listen to your wind ensemble students play some Christmas tunes, browse the vendors to find the perfect holiday gifts, and help support your Naaman Forest Band and the drill team, Sterling Stars.

  • Do you like jazz? Caleb Robinson will be playing with the All-Region Jazz band this Saturday, 2:00 pm at Rockwall-Heath High School Performing Arts Center.

This past Saturday, our 9th-grade members competed against all the other 9th-graders in the region. Please help us congratulate and celebrate these amazing students:

9th Grade Region Band Member:

  • Mason Campbell - Trumpet 1st Place

  • Edgar Coreas - Trumpet 2nd Place

  • Christopher Jacobo - Trumpet 12th Place

  • Mia Jaquez - Horn 10th Place

Band Uniforms will be sent with students after this Friday’s game to be dry cleaned. The dry cleaned uniforms will be collected with their receipt after Thanksgiving break.

BAND FEES and SPRING TRIP PAYMENT: 2nd installment of the spring trip has not been collected. Please turn in the $75 to Mr. Falls as soon as possible! Band fees are being added to Skyward this week. You can pay in person or via Skyward. There will be an extra Service Fee and Taxes added for all apparel and rentals.

Cash payments and checks are accepted. Checks need to be made Payable to Naaman Forest Band, NOT the Band Boosters.

Reminder that the Remainder of our $200 band fee is due by band Camp 7/29/24

We are able to take these fees in person via check (Payable to Naaman Forest Band) or Cash.

For those who were able to pay in full in advanced, Thank You. Your expeditious payment allows us to provide more masterclass services at the beginning of the school year.
