Weekly Update (Sept 16 - Sept 22)

Week 5 is in the books! Week 6 is a A week. Students, thank you for being responsible about your grades. Please continue to stay on top of your assignments and turn them in.
ELIGIBILITY DATE for extracurricular activities is FRIDAY, SEPT 20th.
As the weather is breaking and the cooler season is coming, it is a great time to purchase some band swag. We have customizable soft-shell jackets, hoodies, long sleeves, and even a hat. Feel free to browse. The due date for all orders will be October 4th!

Rehearsal times are normal this week. Monday Rehearsal is 3:30 PM - 5:30PM. Stadium rehearsal on Wednesday will be at Williams this week with the same 7:00 PM pick-up procedure at the stadium. Shuttles to Williams will leave first at 3:15 PM and last at 4:00 PM. We have a normal Thursday from 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM at Naaman.
Please note the rehearsal schedule for NEXT WEEK (Sept 23 - 29) is different so please take a look at the “week ahead” below and plan accordingly.
Students, be prepared to go outside during A1 M/W/F. Bring appropriate clothing.
B7 Brass students, be prepared to go outside on Thursday.
This Friday, Naaman will play against Rowlett at Williams Stadium. We will be playing Confident for the drill team song so please be sure to have that prepared. The goal is to finish learning Latin Quarter Club this week. Please review the sets and practice the music.
The North Texas Drumline Contest is this Saturday and your percussion friends need 3-5 volunteers to help out. Call time is 8:00 AM and volunteers are free to leave at 12:30 after lunch. Volunteers will receive an extra credit or service hours.
Parents, we can always use support as we enter our official game and competition season. If you would like to volunteer, please reach out to our volunteer coordinator, Mrs. Lydia, at volunteer@naamanforestband.org.
Spring Trip: Next deposit of $75 is due on October 1st

All members are required to bring the following supplies for band camp. These items will be used to feed and hydrate your students during the hot days of summer band.
Freshman: 2, 6 Gallons Gatorade mixes (Orange, Fruit Punch, Lemon Lime or Glacier Freeze) Bring TWO
Sophomores: 64 bottles of water (Size 16.9 Fl. oz)
Seniors: 1 pack of Nature Valley, 60 cts Granola Bars & 1 pack of Quaker 36 ct, Granola Bars
